The canyon of Gobert is an initiation canyon to the cascade recall by definition. Located in the heart of Cilaos, a smooth approach of water and verticals. It consists of 3 reminders of maximum 20m, a slide reminder and a possible jump of 8m before a rise of approximately 35 minutes. This canyon is rather reserved for people with strong apprehension, children or large groups.

The 1st part of this canyon is also called mini Gobert . Easy to access, at the level of the height and the progressiveness of the reminders, this canyon nevertheless remains technical due to its cascade reminders which must be done on the feet and not as a reminder of Toboggans.
The car park is two turns after the departure of the path to Mafate (by the Col du Taïbit). The dressing is carried out in the parking lot.
The approach of the canyon is done after 2 min approach walking and begins during the briefing of the first recall.
Depending on the flow or desire, it is possible to make the reminders in the asset (in the waterfall), or more easily outside the cascade (for the first 2 reminders of 15 to 20 meters).
This is followed by a 23 -meter reminder in the compulsory asset, then a great and long aquatic slide reminder of 22 meters.
Depending on the last cyclones, it is possible to go back to the left bank to make an optional jump of 7 to 8 meters at will. The ascent is by a GR in 20 to 25 min.
By providing, in advance it is possible to continue on integral gobert.
